RABARBARO | Liqueur for friends
“Wanted, enveloping and precious: the most
intimate side of grandfather Natale”
ALC / VOL
Four botanicals, more than sixty days of infusion and a rather high alcohol content: this is the recipe signed by Pier Strazzeri, bartenders of excellence in the south west of Milan, for the amaro of rhubarb produced by Fundeghera 1939. The memories of his childhood, together with the discovery of a few bottles of rhubarb in the Fundeghera in Via Marconi, led Pier to create this round and natural amaro.
Rhubarb, gentian, cinchona and liquorice together in a long and careful alcoholic infusion create a combination able to maintain all the scents and balances of the spices used in this liqueur. Cozy, round and natural, it is produced without the addition of colorants and with the desire to revolutionize the use of the typical bitter rhubarb. Designed for mixing, the liqueur signed Pier Strazzeri is in fact able to preserve all its alcoholic properties.
Precious, refined and intimate, it has a brown tone with bronze-gold reflections that create a unique and loyal profile. The nose immediately embraces those who meet it: this is the greatest gift that Rabarbaro will give you.
Used in the past as a bitter medicine, rhubarb since ancient times was considered a rare root and therefore reserved for a few. Like all special things, it was much loved by Natale Mario, who jealously guarded it on the back shelves of his Fundeghera in via Marconi, and used it sparingly only at certain times of the year.
